DIY : Peg and Candy Wrappers Deco

Wooden pegs can be used in more ways than one . I made this quirky unit out of pegs and vintage looking wrappers from candy i bought in Cannes.

I would also imagine hanging pegs all over a wall and clip some family portrait pictures .

DIY : Gypsophila Frame

A very good friend of mine got me this cute frame from Zara Home , the worn out lining and vintage design are too beautiful to be distracted by a portrait picture so that's how i got the idea of framing Gypsophila (aka Baby's Breath) because no flower whispers hopeless romantic like this one. Sigh*

Faux-Vintage Vase , A Tribute to Dame Liz

Her over publicized personal life might have turned us off but no one can deny that Elizabeth Taylor was a timeless beauty and a pioneering fashionista. Who can forget her trend setting headpieces? 

As a tribute to this legend, i incorporated the looks that made her famous in this faux-vintage tin vase. 

Using glue, stick the cutouts randomly around the vase

Scrunch the napkin to add creases , it gives the tin a "used" finish

Using mod podge, cover the tin with the napkin....

When it's almost dry, start scratching some off

DIY : Stuffed Jar Couture

Jars are leaving a mark on the design and deco sphere , i see them everywhere and i love it.

A Jar-head myself, you'll see me using them frequently in my projects. This is just one of the many to come. I used a lot of different fabric so I hope you like it!

A combination of black lace and rainbow flowers works

 Double sided fabric is perfect

 Roll the fabric on your hand and stuff the Jars

DIY : Curtain Belt Deco

DIY projects that make me smile are those that take a little but give a lot . . . just like this one.

My bedroom curtains were too blah . I didn't want to add more fabric, it was heavy enough and with my quilted duvet i couldn't add more color to the room either. Finials were also not an option so the only easy and less expensive option was to decorate the curtain belts.

This took me less than 10 minutes to do and the effect was exactly what i had in mind . . . a little je ne sais quoi!
